Wild Pacific salmon and Steelhead provide the backbone to many ecosystems and economies up and down the coast of BC. Sadly their numbers have been in decline over the last 50 years. The last two decades have been especially bad. Thankfully, the good people at the Central Westcoast Forest Society are working on this issue from the ground up.
The Central Westcoast Forest Society is a registered charity that works to conserve wild fish populations and offer community engagement through habitat restoration, education, research, and employment for all 7 communities within the Clayoquot and Barkley Sound region.
